The AUTOMATED FIELD INSPECTION SYSTEM allows the use of either a notebook or pen computer to capture all service and inspection information and violations in the field.  It allows an inspection report to be printed on site.  In addition, the field computer has access to all previous inspection, violation, and service information for all sites in the entire agency.

Information is transferred between the field computer and the office computer either by network connection or by modem.

Reports, like the next inspection due report, aid employees in managing their work tasks, and helps managers in determining employee work load, planning, budgeting, program evaluation, and the setting of fees.
